My name is Kevin Smith and I want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to visit our site. First and foremost, I am a dad of two great kids: a highly active and busy 5-year-old girl and an athletic, 16-year-old young man. I would be remiss to mention that I am also dad to a four-legged fur baby Kali, a 2-year-old American Staffy.
I have been involved in the fitness industry 30 years and held every position from fitness advisor, to personal trainer to owner. After gaining so much knowledge from working in the big box gyms and smaller more exclusive personal training studios I decided to launch Body Be Fit in 2004. By opening my own business, I was able to service my clients in the way I would want to be serviced. I offer great training at a reasonable price, engage in community building events, and organize amazing fitness adventures locally and abroad.
Throughout my personal training career, I have helped people rehab from injuries, prepare for careers that require a high level of physical readiness, start a weight loss journey to regain control their health and wellness. I would have to say my niche right now is still helping people with their weight loss journey as well as strength and conditioning.
Personal training has always been considered a luxury item, but it has always been my belief that everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of a personal trainer’s guidance and motivation. I can create programs that can get you the results you want without breaking the bank.

This style of training allows the trainer to give 100% attention to the client. Each client will receive a complimentary consultation that will allow the client and trainer to discuss goals, medical history, previous training experience, nutrition etc. The client will also get receive a full fitness evaluation which has two parts: A body composition and analysis where we will test body fat percentage, take weigh ins and measurements and before photos. The second part is a full fitness evaluation to test cardiovascular output, muscle endurance, core strength and quickness and agility. The results of this fitness evaluation will be used to help the trainer design your personalized training program and to be used as a tangible tool to measure the client’s progress.
Each training hour is shared by the clients. Many clients prefer this method of training because of the extra motivation you get with training with a friend. The higher level of accountability that your training partner is waiting for you and most importantly this type of training service is offered by the trainer at a far less cost than doing one on one training. This style of training is done when a group of 3-5 participants want to train together as a group at the same time. Ideally, this group would have similar fitness goals but that is not necessary. The program is designed by the trainer based on the general goals and wants of the group. The biggest benefits of this style of training again is higher levels of motivation and accountability. The costs of this style of training are lower than that of 1:1 or 2:1 training
Quite often bootcamps are known to be high intensity, full body, circuit style training classes but Body Be Fit trainers will add multiple strength and conditioning classes into their 10-week programs. Our bootcamps most often utilize sleds, hammers, tires, sandbags, battleropes into ever challenging but fun bootcamps. First session is always free to tryout!
Fitness Adventures: Sometimes people have a goal to just to stay healthy. It is my goal to have all clients to work towards something out of their box. Something to train towards, something tangible. Imagine hiking the Grand Canyon in Arizona, rafting the Kicking Horse River in Golden BC, competing as a team in The Spartan Obstacle Race are just a couple of events that clients of Body Be Fit accomplished prior to Covid. We are tentatively planning our 2021 fitness calendar that will be released in mid- November and we would love for you to join us.
